Best Beaches in Lombok

Best Beaches in Lombok

When thinking of Lombok, many think of the beautiful beaches. Here is a guide to some of the beaches in the south of Lombok.

Selong Belanak Beach

Selong Belanak Beach in Lombok is a fascinating stretch of coastline that delights visitors with its dazzling white sand, clear turquoise waters, and gentle waves. This expansive beach offers ample space for relaxation, sunbathing, and swimming. With its picturesque green hills and palm trees backdrop, Selong Belanak Beach attracts many surfers who find ideal conditions here. Numerous restaurants and cafes along the beach also serve delicious local specialties. Whether you want to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of nature or engage in exciting water sports activities, Selong Belanak Beach offers tourists an unforgettable experience at one of the most beautiful beaches in Lombok. We paid IDR 10,000 (€0.60) to park the scooters.

Mawun Beach

From the main road about 5min away. Also, here, you pay 10,000 IDR (0,60 €) for a parking place to park the scooter. At the beginning of the beach, there was a lot of wood and a significant accumulation of stones in the water, which would have made it impossible to go swimming. However, if you go three minutes towards the right, there is no wood to be seen. Loungers, umbrellas, and beach stalls are available. We found it very nice and quiet here. However, it was not very clean—a lot of plastic floats in the water. Children try to sell you bracelets and sometimes react cheekily when you refuse. They also don't leave you alone when you have bought something. The guardians look on, laughing, and, unfortunately, do nothing.

Pantai Seger Kuta Lombok

This is a lovely but wild beach, extraordinary incredible scenery, no swimming possible, big waves and huge currents. It is just a beach to relax and rest. One also pays 10,000 IDR (0.60 €) to park and keep clean πŸ€£

This contradicts itself, however, because no matter where you look, garbage is far and wide to see. To get on the hill, you pay another 5,000 IDR (0.30 €) to be able to look at the sunset. It's simply a ridiculous rip-off. It's not a lot of money, but it's a real shame if you have to pay every time, no matter where you go. Also, it looks very often filthy. The sunset was beautiful, but we could watch more beautiful sunsets on other beaches.

Tanjung Aan Beach

It's an absolute must for anyone staying in Indonesia! The sight of the sea at high and low tide is breathtaking, as are the miles of white sandy beach. The staff was amiable, and the beach's snack stands provided delicious food - the freshly picked coconuts were a particular highlight! Nothing is more refreshing than enjoying a chilled coconut at this picturesque spot. However, it is unfortunate to see that the beach is affected by litter and plastic waste.

Tanjung Aan Beach, with its breathtaking views, gorgeous sandy beach, and refreshing coconuts, is a real insider's tip and a paradise for beach lovers. We can only recommend it! Again, don't forget the IDR 10,000 (€0.60) parking fee.

Pink Beach

It's a lovely beach, but expect something other than pink sand. At best, it shimmers a bit pink. Unfortunately, a lot of garbage is lying around—the way there is a bit difficult but doable. The water is very calm and clear, and few people are there. The entrance fee of 50,000 IDR (3.00 €) is even for Indonesian conditions that are too expensive and unjustified. It is worth seeing, but it does not take much to the other beaches. There is more hype in the social media than it deserves.

Until then

  4. Oh ja, da gebe ich dir recht, der Plastik MΓΌll macht so viele paradiesische Orte der Natur kaputt. So traurig. Da muss sich echt was Γ€ndern!πŸ™„

Dein Beitrag und das Ranking der StrΓ€nde ist natΓΌrlich trotzdem sehr hilfreich und informativ.☺️
