Boat tour on Lombok

Explore the three small islands of Gili Nanggu, Gili Sudak, and Gili Kedis.

Today was, for a long time, a program on the daily schedule. We were picked up at 08:45 at the house and drove to a starting point from where the boat tour started. The boy who picked us up was 24 years old, and how little he earned for the whole thing was terrifying. We paid 1.250.000 IDR (75€) for the tour, which was 15€ per person. If you put that in relation to German tours, these start partly only at 45€ per person. Fins for snorkeling could be rented for 25,000 IDR (1.50€) per person. The drive to the starting point was 2 hours, and we used the time to catch up on sleep. Once there, we went directly on the boat.

We went to the first island, "Gili Nanggu". Translated, "Gili" stands for "small island," and "Nanggu" means "waiting." Figuratively speaking, "the fish are waiting" here. For this reason, we snorkeled here, and it was beautiful. We could see many colorful fish, and with the Go Pro, we captured everything. The Guid took underwater pictures of us, which turned out really lovely. After snorkeling, we took a short break and ate Oreos and corn waffles.

After that, we went to the next island, "Gili Sudak." The name comes from Indonesian and means potato. Therefore, there was something hearty to eat here. For me, there was chicken from the grill and rice. After the short break, we drove to the last island "Gili Kedis."

On this island, we relaxed and relaxed. We enjoyed the sun and snorkeled one last time. The water was very shallow, so we quickly came to the end. Towards evening, we tried to use the time, so we were on the boat for sunset. The guide pointed our boat towards the sun for the perfect view. It was like something out of a picture book story.

When it was dark, we headed back to the land, and it was another 2-hour drive back home. Once we arrived at Airbnb, we had another round of pizza.

We all thought the tour was worth it because you could never spend time in Germany for this price. We were driven to the islands, and only had to let us know if we wanted to continue. I can highly recommend the tour.

Until the next adventure
